On the morning of November 3rd, Dr. Nur Aulia Rosni, a lecturer from the Faculty of Built Environment, University of Malaya (Malaysia), led 22 senior undergraduate students to visit our school. The visit was part of university-level exchanges under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, aiming to enhance mutual understanding between the two institutions in professional fields.

Vice Dean Zhang Yingzi introduced the School of Architecture of Southwest Jiaotong University in terms of its founding history, educational philosophy, discipline development, and international cooperation. She also highlighted the school's achievements in serving social development, advancing discipline construction, conducting high-quality international exchanges, and fostering interdisciplinary talents. Associate Professor Yang Qinran provided a detailed account of the school's professional curriculum design, talent cultivation objectives, and practical teaching system.
Dr. Nur Aulia Rosni systematically presented the development overview, disciplinary structure, and professional setup of the Faculty of Built Environment at the University of Malaya, and shared the faculty's experience in education related to sustainable development planning.
During the free exchange session, teachers and students from both sides engaged in lively discussions, focusing on cutting-edge topics such as the design of practical components in courses, the protection and renewal of historical districts, methods of community public participation, and resilient urban planning in response to climate change. The on-site interaction was frequent, with intense exchanges of ideas. Later, teachers from the Department of Urban and Rural Planning accompanied the delegation to visit the school's teaching spaces, exhibition areas, and experimental facilities. The teachers and students from the University of Malaya spoke highly of the school's achievements in architectural design and urban-rural planning design.
